Angel Sessions
Angel Session: $50 (includes a $25 donation to the NC Childrens’ Hospital)
Your session fee includes:
- The photographer’s time and talent for 30 minutes
- one child between 6 month and 6 years old
- Post processing of each individual image, including the Photographer’s artistic hand editing of each image you order
- Approximately 5-8 proofs from which to choose
- Private online viewing gallery to share with family and friends
NOTE: NO Minimum purchase required. Session fees are non-refundable and are due at booking to reserve your date. If you need to reschedule, you will be moved to the next available Angel Session day. Payment by phone with credit card is most convenient for booking.
Prices subject to change without notice. NC Sales tax of 7.75% is added to all session fees.

THESE PRICES ARE GOOD FOR 1 WEEK after your proofs are viewable. After 1 week, prices return to regular rates. All prints and products are printed through a professional print lab. Individual prints available at standard prices, IF no package is purchased.

Package B: two 8x10s, three 5x7s, two poses: $155 (save $60)
Package C: one 11×14, two 8x10s, six 5x7s, three poses: $315 (save $100)

What is an Angel Session?
Angel Sessions are mini photo sessions that take place one day during most months of the year. Sessions are only 30 minutes each. Our goal is to use these images to raise awareness and raise money for the NC Children’s Hospital (NCCH). Half of each session fee is donated to the NCCH. And 14 of the angels photographed in 2010-2011 will become the faces of the 2012 Angel Calendar. ALL proceeds from the calendars will also be donated to the NCCH.
When is the next Angel Session?
Check the blog for updates and email us through the contact page if you don’t find dates. We book one month at a time. Angel Sessions take place ONE day per month, in most months. Times are usually available from 1:30pm up until 5:00pm.
How should I dress my child for their Angel Session?
Boys should wear jeans. Girls can wear jeans. Girls shouldn’t wear any bows or decorations in their hair. A white dress or white/pink tank top could also come in handy. Nothing special is required other than jeans. We will have clothing and fabric drapes at the studio. Bare feet please.
What should I bring with me?
A light snack if your scheduled time is near meal/snack time. A comb for little girls hair. A favorite toy or noise maker to get their attention.
I have a baby, can he/she be an Angel too?
Babies need to be able to sit up independently. Our wings are too large for tiny babies. Usually babies reach their sitting stage somewhere between 6 and 8 months.
Why do you limit the Angels session to 6 years old and younger?
Our wings are in various sizes. Only one pair will work with a 6 year old child, although it is also size recommended for a child up to a 5T size. If your child is small framed, they might be able to participate. Call us to discuss.
Will my little Angel be in the 2012 calendar?
It’s very possible! If your child has had an Angel Session, then they are automatically being considered for the next calendar.
I want to help sell calendars, what do I need to do?
2012 Calendars will be ordered in the fall of 2011. We hope that local business’ will purchase at least a small quantity of Angel Calendars to sell during the holidays. The price per calendar will be LESS than $10 each. Final costs to be determined when they are printed. Please remember that 100% of the proceeds from the calendar sales will go to the NCCH.
Why did you choose the NC Children’s Hospital?
Vanessa G. Photography wanted to start a charitable project in 2010. Chandler inspired it all. She was a repeat client at the studio and a life long patient at the NCCH. Her story was inspiring and her care at the NCCH played a vital role in her life. With the perfect ‘spokes angel’ in front of us, we couldn’t think of a better place to show our support. Chandler will be our 1st cover angel on the 2012 calendars. We hope to follow that trend by having a patient from the NCCH to grace the calendar cover each year.
Ordering Questions:
When can I see my proofs?
Generally, it takes about two weeks to edit and prepare your images for you to enjoy. Digital files will be uploaded, narrowed to a gallery of 20-30, and then hand edited one at a time to near perfection. You will receive an email with ordering instructions and your password to view the images.
How do I place my order?
You have two options: by email or by phone. Credit cards accepted by phone.
Do I have to place my order NOW? Can I wait until later?
You may have up to 30 days to place your order, however, the special rates and packages offered are only good for ONE WEEK after your proofs are viewable. We suggest you take advantage of the discounted rates and order right away!
Can’t I just scan my prints and make copies for extended family members?
NO! It is very illegal to scan prints and make copies of them. You need to purchase as many images you need. All images taken by Vanessa G. Photography are copyright protected by federal law. No reproductions, print or digital, should be made without written consent of the photographer. At your session you will be asked to sign a Session Contract and Model Release form acknowledging these facts. Violations of our copyright will be taken seriously and are punishable by law…even without a signed contract.
To be very clear, the following are not permitted and are in violation of our copyright:
DO NOT scan images and reprint them.
DO NOT scan images and post on line (Facebook for example). If you have the disk of images, you have permission to use them online.
DO NOT take photos of your prints with your cell phone and post those images on line (Facebook for example).
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Generally, you can plan to pick your order up within 3 weeks.
